We provide you with instructions so that you may add "buttons" to your website that will allow you to offer "recurring" transactions (examples: membership or recurring donation) to your customers. Once the customer signs up, they are automatically put into your "recurring payment manager". Once they are in the system they stay in until the customer's "payment schedule" is completed. (They will stay in until you remove them if they sign up as a "permanent" customer). You are given the ability to manually add (or modify) customers but if you want the system to do everything automatically, then it will!
No. We provide every DowCommerce account with a Free Integrated shopping cart. It has many features and will work for most clients. However, if you need a more advanced shopping cart, we have a list of certified 3rd party carts that will work with DowCommerce. If you need even more customization, that's no problem either, we will also provide you with complete API instructions for advanced integration techniques.
